KAPITA's Incubator, Orange Corners Baghdad Cohort 6 is Now Up and Running!

Welcoming 21 new Iraqi startups for the 6th consecutive cohort of the incubator this December 2022! 

The goal of Orange Corners Baghdad incubation sessions is to support Iraqi youth in bringing their entrepreneurial ideas to life by providing intensive training sessions especially picked to answer the current Iraqi startups needs. 

The sessions cover important topics like: Business Model Canvas, Finance, Market Research, Brand Identity, Marketing and Digital Marketing, Sales for Entrepreneures, People Management, and Pitching.

The training session are only part of the program’s curriculum. See the process below:


1. Online application

The application form becomes available on our website prior to the beginning of each six-month cycle. Fill in all required fields and submit via the online application form submit button. Please make sure to check your inbox regularly to see if you are one of the 50 selected semi-finalists.

2. Bootcamp

The 50 semi-finalists will be invited to participate in a compulsory two-day-long bootcamp in which a jury decides who are best placed to join the incubation programme.

3. Selection

Selection will be conducted according to the performance during the bootcamp. At the end of the bootcamp, 20 young Iraqi entrepreneurs will be selected to participate for six months. 

The bootcamp and pitching sessions happened on November 2022, where 21 new Iraqi startups were picked for the program.


Meet the 21 Startups of Cohort 6:

  1. Vada.iq: Aims to manufacture environmentally friendly candle products whose combustion is safe for humans and the environment, and which lasts longer than the familiar candles that have problems in the first place. 

  2. SindbadMed: Medical Services for citizens who seeks for better or unfound type of surgery/ treatment, with better quality, and affordable price. Our task is to do all the logistics support, treatment plan, to find the proper hospital/ specialist according to the budget / quality the clients asking for. 

  3. Sarah care: Is the import and selling of cosmetics (makeup, skincare and more) at reduced prices to the customer with offers throughout the year, whether Black Friday or Christmas offers or holiday and Halloween offers And it will be a direct sale to the customer without the need to wait for shipment and at the lowest price we can get to target the largest possible number of customers

  4. Al-Senak: It is the first application in Iraq to sell oils and filters, batteries, tires, and car accessories. Al-Sanak application is characterized by having a physical site in the Al-Sinak district area to deal with all the commercial agencies and ensure the quality and diversity of the materials presented on the application. The application also provides delivery service to all governorates of Iraq.

  5. Hazal gifts: An online store for trading gifts and flowers for various occasions and holidays. We discovered the market’s need for such a pioneering project to facilitate the online purchase and payment process for gifts and flowers with various payment methods.

  6. TALU: TALU offer Iraqi Handicraft Products. We are providing indigenous handcrafted products which are produced by very skilled traditional craftspeople. Our goal is to become Iraqi’s-sustainable top Handicraft e-commerce company and empower Iraqi e-commerce.

  7. Kasper media: It is a company specializing in developing marketing plans, which in turn helps the client grow personally and in particular for his project, since marketing at the mean time lacks marketing plans. We distinguished ourselves by arranging the marketing plans.

  8. Rehla: Rehla online app helps travelers to choose the best tourism program inside and outside Iraq and book it through the application and pay directly or through electronic payment methods or pay on credit through banking systems.

  9. A.J.A company: A company specialized in designing and manufacturing portable trucks, booths to help unemployed youth and graduates to open their own commercial projects.

  10. Hawsr: Hawsr provides an online 3D platform for construction projects to real-estate agencies, architecture firms and construction businesses, helping businesses in the construction industry to own a better communication method through closing the gap between Architects, Engineers and clients.

  11.  Junior space: An educational company that provides and implements many developmental and educational programs for different age groups, which develop students to acquire specialized skills in various important fields to qualify them for the modern world.

  12. Duwera: Recycling of second hand clothes in 2 ways: sell second hand clothes (source: customers and importers), Upcycle pieces into unique ones, Make bags from recycled materials including (plastic and second hand clothes) This is done through a social media platform first, then we’re moving after developing the application to have an independent store for above categories. 

  13. Naya Laser: An online store to sell medical devices and hold training courses for medical students and doctors, as well as provide the most important advice on the best devices, their effects, and how to use them to avoid buying the worst materials and devices

  14. Teamx: The main goal is to work on developing the largest number of students who want to learn programming or related disciplines at the lowest costs and with high quality to keep pace with the rapid development of modern technology in the outside world.

  15. Ghumra Camp: Ghumra is the first camp of its kind in Iraq that is concerned with training and educating individuals in a new way and aims to discover and develop the skills of youth and adolescents with a unique entertaining safari atmosphere.

  16. National Center for Translation (NCT): An entrepreneurial business that aims to provide cutting-edge language solutions and integrate Iraqi translation and localization community with the rest of the world.

  17. Star Store: It is a project to design, produce and sell scented candles and natural soap, in addition to Turkish stone, completely and professionally made by women.

  18. Health 360: Introducing electronic archiving of patient data in a new way through the use of artificial intelligence techniques, assisting the doctor in early diagnosis and detecting medical errors, and working to provide a platform close to the doctor’s practice and needs in entering medical data while preserving patient data through the adoption of HIPPA Security Rules

  19. Almurtadhadent: An e-commerce project in the field of dental supplies. The main objective of the project is to create an application for dental students within colleges and dentists in order to equip them with supplies at minimal delivery prices.

  20. Organic Compost: The organic fertilizer production project is one of the important projects in agriculture in order to produce and encourage organic farming and to avoid chemical additives and fertilizers that have great harm to human life. This project is of great importance in producing fertilizers and making them available in the market at low prices and within the reach of all farmers.

  21. European market in iraq: Works on providing products to the customer from official websites of companies, official agents according to their personal request, informing them of all information and product specifications, as well as reducing the shipping cost of the product by collecting a number of orders and weekly shipping.


Over the course of 6 months, the program goes through multiple stages of training sessions and masterclasses followed by 1 on 1 mentoring sessions for a more condensed and focused business development. This cohort, the newly incubated startups in Orange Corners Baghdad will receive monthly allowances by Orange Corners Innovation Fund which is a subsidy program by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Netherlands. The program targets Orange Corners incubatees with funds and technical assistance to help them reach their next level of growth.
